Withdraw from Purchase

If you are a consumer in the EU or the EEA you have 14 days to withdraw from your purchase, without giving a reason. The 14 days run from the day the contract is concluded — the day you complete your order.

Because we sell services rather than downloadable files, the right does not vanish the moment you buy. It ends when the work is fully performed, and only if you asked us to start early and acknowledged that consequence. If you withdraw while the work is in progress, you pay only for the part that was done.

This right belongs to consumers — people buying for purposes outside their trade, business or profession — under Directive 2011/83/EU as implemented in Dutch law (Article 6:230o and following of the Dutch Civil Code).

If you bought as a business, you have no statutory right of withdrawal. Our voluntary cancellation terms still apply, and they are on the Cancellation & Refunds page.

If you are a consumer outside the EU or the EEA, we apply the same 14-day right to you as a matter of policy, and the mandatory consumer law of your own country applies in addition where it gives you more.

For a service contract the period starts on the day the contract is concluded, which for us is the day you complete payment and receive your confirmation. It is not the day you complete your intake, and it is not the day we start work.

The period ends 14 calendar days later. If the last day is a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, it runs to the end of the next working day.

You meet the deadline by sending your withdrawal before the 14 days expire. It does not have to reach us or be processed by then — sending it is enough.

At checkout we ask you two separate things. They are optional, and neither is required to complete a purchase:

1. Whether you expressly ask us to begin work during the 14-day period.
2. Whether you acknowledge that you will lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.

If you agree to both, we start immediately. You keep the right of withdrawal while the work is in progress — agreeing does not give it up on the spot. What it does is set the point at which it ends: full performance.

If you do not agree, we simply wait until the 14 days have passed and then begin. Your delivery time shifts accordingly, and your right stays untouched for the whole period.

The exact wording you saw at checkout, with the date and time, is recorded with your order and reproduced in your confirmation PDF.

For our services the right of withdrawal ends when the work is fully performed — for a research service, when the report has been delivered to your account — and only where you gave both the express request and the acknowledgement described above.

If you did not give both, the right does not end on delivery. It runs for the remainder of the 14 days.

It also ends, ordinarily, when the 14 days expire without you withdrawing.

You can. Tell us and we stop.

Where you asked us to begin early, you pay an amount in proportion to what has been provided up to the moment you told us — not the full price, and not nothing. We refund the rest.

We calculate that proportion by the phases of work completed, using the method published on the Cancellation & Refunds page. When we settle a withdrawal we tell you which phases were complete, which method was used and how the figure was reached, so you can check it.

Where we failed to give you the withdrawal information required by law, or where you did not expressly ask us to begin, you owe nothing for work already done. That is not a concession; it is Article 6:230s of the Dutch Civil Code.

Send us an unambiguous statement that you are withdrawing, before the 14 days expire.

You can use the model form in the next section, but you do not have to — any clear statement works. Include your order reference so we can find it. You do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask for one.

We stop work immediately.

We refund you within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method you used to pay, unless you expressly agree otherwise. A refund never costs you a fee.

Where a proportionate amount is due for work already performed, we deduct it and show you the calculation. Where nothing is due, you receive the full amount back.

If you have already downloaded a report, the licence to use it ends with the withdrawal and you must stop using it and delete your copies.

Where a service is priced from an amount, you pay a deposit that books a scoping call before the full fee is agreed.

The same 14-day right applies to that deposit, on the same terms: it runs from the day you pay, and it ends when the call has taken place if you asked us to schedule it during the period and acknowledged the consequence.
